Don't forget "Love Me or Leave Me" and "My Dear Acquaintance" - both fantastic, authentic period pieces that I adore!

I love records, and I LOVE REGINA SPEKTOR! One day (Far was already out), I realized I didn't have any of her physical albums, so I went to Bullmoose online to buy all her available albums. I quickly acquired her record discography, and resorted to buying variants and test pressings. Over the years and almost daily I have scoured the internet for her records at reasonable prices. I don't always buy the first few that I see, but occasionally (like my latest buy) I will snatch up a record I do not have. I know there are many more compact discs out there than records, so I don't want to go that route and spend more money. Plus, I do not buy c.d.'s. Anyway, I would like to see everyone's collection of Regina Spektor items! Pins, ticket stubs, flyers, posters, c.d.'s, records, autographs, photographs, meet-and-greets, and anythything else related to Regina!

That's a great collection, I have a few vinyls and all the CD's bar 11:11 because who has managed to get hold of that?! I have just ordered a live in California CD and looking forward to that arriving. My favourite collecton piece though so far is the below because they were my favourite performances yet.

I have just found this site and want to say thank you! I am currently downloading all the stuff you have as I am a huge fan and it's amazing. Keep up the great work and yes, if you can do the files in batches of songs that would be great as it's taking me a while... but I guess it is taking you even longer! Again thank you!

I've never formally introduced myself.. so here it goes. My name is Jacob Prince, I live in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and I'm probably the youngest Brumstix member there is. I am 15 years old. (pause for effect) I am a cellist and want to study the cello professionally. I am currently homeschooled & practice around 3-4 hours a day. I also code websites, compose music, and write poetry. I have listened to Regina for six years, ever since cheap seats was released, and I have been to one of her concerts. I created reginasaurus.net in 2017 when I first learned to code websites. Read my poetry on my personal website, jprince.net. I first found Regina when my nine-year-old-self was curious about the notorious iPod advertisement, which featured the Cheap Seats album art. The first song I heard was Don't Leave Me. After listening to Cheap Seats for a while, I progressed to Live in London. I learned to appreciate Regina's artistry and talent in that album. Next I listened to 11:11 then Begin to Hope, and eventually far. I didn't hear Songs until Remember us to Life was released. Since I discovered Regina I have listened to her for countless hours, admired her, and built my collection of her unreleased songs. I even have a Regina shrine in my room. I visited the Sidewalk Cafe last summer, and got a little postcard with a drawing of the cafe. I dream of Regina signing it. When I got my picture taken in front of the building the employees got a little freaked out. I've never once cried at Samson, neither do I think the song is emotional. I have cried at Sellers of Flowers, her cover of Moon River, and Dead of Night (From the beauty musical). I think Somedays, Braille, and obsolete are the most emotional songs. I never could have a favourite song or album, but there are moments in her music that I truly admire and that amaze me. One moment is in Daniel Cowman when she sings, "And he start remembering And remembering And remembering Remembering Remembering..." And when she refers to Shakesphere's the temptest in the same song "A man destined to drown can never burn A man destined to drown can never burn A man destined to drown can never ever burn" Another moment I admire, the same moment I knew I was absolutely obsessed with her, is the opening of better. I heard her play the song live on Saint Patricks day 2017. In the stage fog, she opened the concert with those first few chords of better. It was the most amazing feeling in the world. I never had listened to better much; I felt the song was over-produced, but I fell in love with it after the experience. Another moment that I love is the magestical sound of 20 Years of Snow, and the glissening guitar in Another Town. I also love the cello solo in Sellers of Flowers and orchestration in the song. I also love the marimba at the beginning of Don't Leave Me, but only because regina plays the marimba on the track. I imagine her being so cute playing it . The image of her lauging as she hits the wooden keys will never leave my brain. Recently I have been sad over Regina. It may be years before she releases any new music, and even longer before she tours again. She is taking time to be a great mother to her son, who may possibly be the greatest musician of our time. I am also sad for Regina. Her most popular songs like Fidelity & You've Got Time, don't feature her playing piano. It just shows how crappy mainstream music is. Even if those songs rock, I'd much rather hear the authenticity and talent of Regina soaring through her amazing piano ballads. I think I've somewhat introduced myself. I love you all, I only want the best for the community. I hope my website preserves Regina's music for years to come. I also hope we can find old missing recordings through contributions to the site. Already we have uncovered & shared the missing 2009 White Session. Recently user cmarez93 upoaded Regina's Amazon Music session, which was previously no where to be found. If you have any recordings that are not already on the site, please upload them! They may be missing! I had the 2009 White session sitting around on my computer, little did I know it was missing. Please check out the site! make an account! contribute to the community! reginasaurus.net Thanks, Regis Memory

Have you seen this? it’s filmed by the same director of Black and white.

    1. Black and White. Professional filming here is the main reason why it's on the top of my list. The place is gorgeous, Regina is so beatiful, as well as the ballerina. And you can see all this beauty at the full extent, because the shots are so well-thought-out and harmonious. The lighting and dynamics match the song. And Regina does some dancing 2. Bleeding Heart. I love the footage from Regina childhood, it fits so naturally into the song and amplifies the feelings. The photos are so good! My favourite is the last one at 2:57. The ending is powerful as well. The song itself is my favourite of these four and special for me. 3. Small Bill$. I like how you can see a story here. There are different interpretations of both lyrics and visuals in youtube comments. Another pleasant thing is seeing Regina in different styles, with different hair. The mermaid scene at the end is amusing. The song itself has unique vibe. 4. The Trapper and the Furrier. The good thing here is that you can see those blue eyes closely But there is not much happening.

Wow my favorite is definitely Bleeding Heart, I love seeing her as a child, could be any of us just shows how real she is. I love the message behind Trapper...so true in our society and those who lose most are those who spend their whole lives feeling worthless because they fail to achieve great monetary heights of the millionaires and billionaires of our world, only ones who will “win” in the end are those who are born again. Small bills seems to have been given the most thought, but to me I feel like the message is the life of a drug addict, I don’t like drugs nor do I prefer to be around addicts so that is my least favorite.

The Poetry forum didn't work, so I started this thread to share poems inspired by Regina's music.

Hi! Thanks for letting me know about the issue with the poetry forum. I went ahead and fixed it. Your topic is now in the poetry forum. That poem is pretty darn lovely. I wrote this one inspired by Pavlov's Daughter a few weeks ago. I'm 6'5 but 7' below On my toes I might reach 6'11, But that's as high as I'll ever get. Can't swim up 'cause I lost direction, Even though I got a map. But it's wet and crinkled and illegible, No good. Sounds familiar. I swim down anyways. Some distance below, It's hard to measure under water. You lose sense of direction and end up measuring your own height. Getting frustrated, I follow a fish. She says this to me, "My name is Lucille, And I know how you feel. Been swimming someway, But you need to go that way. I've been here a long time, Saying one day I might could find. But that day won't come along, I still don't know where I belong. My name is Lucille, And my brain's like a seal. Don't know which way is up, But I'll take you where you must. Down the road, at the sign, There is a statue that you'll find Look him in the eye and then you'll know, only time will tell you where to go."

Here is a poem I wrote inspired by "Back of a Truck": This or that. Which album is my favourite? Which song? Which version of this song? Or that song? It's like this. When someone asks me, "Which one of your twins would you save If the house were on fire and you had to choose?" My god. That idea stops me cold. They are so unique and yet so similar. How could I ever pick? It's impossible. Of course, the answer is obvious: I'd save the dowg. D-d-dowg-d-dowg I'd save the d-o-w-g dowg.

It's a nice song but I wouldn't be believing Regina if i heard her singing those lyrics. They don't seem like something she would say. But anything from her would be good!

Yes! I love it. Lana Del Rey covered a different Madonna song recently and it gives me Regina vibes. I wish Regina would cover it herself.

[Verse] I don't care that flowers grow for you And me, and me You don't know what love is till you see Her standing there A web of skin and nails and hair A web of skin and nails and hair And bones and bones And thorns Rushing in, out her hair You think you are alive, but you are dead You keep, on driving in your car asleep I'm driving in your car I dont know why flowers grow in winter time The sky turns gray the sun don't shine And people rush to be on time For warmth they wrap them selves in woolen cloaks And hats and scarves Like larva in their incubated cars Like larva in their cars And drive and drive [Outro] And drive and drive and drive Until they get away

[Verse 1] I'm the king's thirty second son Born to him in thirty second's time Born to him the night still young Born to him with two eyebrows on And that's all I was wearing When I woke up staring at the world [Verse 2] My mom had been a rather crazy queen But not at all a sex machine She liked to keep her body clean, clean Thought the world to be quite obscene But she retired to her chamber And we remain quite strangers And to see me made her awful sad And to touch me made her awful sad And to see me made her awful And to touch me made her awful [Verse 3] I'm the king's thirty second son And all it took was thirty second's time But a spoiled little prince I was not Had a chamber maid and a chamber pot And there's thirty one others just like me There's thirty one others I can be [Verse 4] Sometimes I'd stand by the royal wall The sky'd be so big that it broke my soul And I stood on my toes to catch a glimpse Of my mother's eyes and my mother's skin And she retired to her chamber And we remain quite strangers And to see me made her awful sad And to touch me made her awful sad And to see me made her awful And to touch me made her awful [Chorus] And one morning I woke up And I thought Oedipus, Oedipus, Oedipus, Oedipus Then one morning I woke up and I thought Rex, Rex, Rex Then one morning I woke up And I thought Oedipus, Oedipus, Oedipus, Oedipus Thirty two's still a goddamn number Thirty two's still counts Going to make it count Going to make it count Going to oh oh [Bridge] Thirty two's still a goddamn number Thirty two still counts Going to make it count Going to make it count Going to oh oh Long live the king Long live the king Long live the king Long live the king Long live the king Long live the king Long live the king Long live the I'm the king's thirty second son There's thirty one others just like me There's thirty one others on the way There's thirty one others after that [Verse 5] Sometimes I stand by the royal gate People screaming love and hate And they scream And they scream And they scream And they scream Long live the king Long live the queen And to see me made her awful sad And to touch me made her awful sad And to see me made her awful And to touch me made her awful [Chorus] And one morning I woke up And I thought Oedipus, Oedipus, Oedipus, Oedipus Then one morning I woke up and I thought Rex, Rex, Rex Then one morning I woke up And I thought Oedipus, Oedipus, Oedipus, Oedipus Thirty two's still a goddamn number Thirty two's still counts Going to make it count Going to make it count Going to oh oh [Outro] Thirty two's still a goddamn number Thirty two's still a goddamn number Thirty two's still a goddamn number Thirty two's still a goddamn number Thirty two Thirty two Thirty two Thirty two Thirty two Thirty two Thirty two Long live the king Long live the king Long live the king Long live the king Long live the king Long live the king Long live the king Long live the king

[Verse 1] You are my sweetest downfall I loved you first, I loved you first Beneath the sheets of paper lies my truth I have to go, I have to go Your hair was long when we first met [Chorus] Samson went back to bed Not much hair left on his head He ate a slice of wonder bread, and went right back to bed And history books forgot about us and the Bible didn't mention us And the Bible didn't mention us, not even once [Verse 2] You are my sweetest downfall I loved you first, I loved you first Beneath the stars came falling on our heads But they're just old light, they're just old light Your hair was long when we first met [Chorus] Samson came to my bed Told me that my hair was red Told me I was beautiful, and came into my bed Oh, I cut his hair myself one night A pair of dull scissors in the yellow light And he told me that I'd done alright And kissed me till the morning light, the morning light And he kissed me till the morning light [Chorus] Samson went back to bed Not much hair left on his head Ate a slice of wonder bread, and went right back to bed Oh, we couldn't bring the columns down Yeah, we couldn't destroy a single one And history books forgot about us And the Bible didn't mention us, not even once [Outro] You are my sweetest downfall I loved you first
